There is a song I recently heard while driving home that I wanted to share with you. I've been a fan of David Crowder Band for a few years after hearing songs like "He is our King" and "Everything Glorious". DC's voice has so much passion, and many times God chose his music to minister His Spirit to me.Growing up, I never understood what it meant to be loved. I was taken care of in a physical sense and always was provided for, but to be loved? What does that mean? And what does God mean when He says He loves us?
How He Loves is from the album Church Music released Sept 2009. It overwhelmed me so much I thought I would have to stop the car for fear that I wouldn't be able to see the road. I think I'm coming to a slow realization what God's love actually means, and what it truly feels like. How much I need to feel it and know it to be true. ReplyDeleteI know how that is. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but all I really got was material support. I got food, school, and clothes, but that's it. I don't think they really know WHO I am. I mean, the GOVERNMENT can give you money. It's a priceless thing when someone loves and is very interested in who you are. Sadly, very few people ever find that.

ReplyDeleteTaz: I think most of us had experiences where our love came from accomplishments or meeting someone else's needs or whatever. And I think you're right when you say that very few ppl ever find real love, at least unconditional love. That kind of hurt can last a lifetime. I'm sorry you had to go through what you did, but you'll be able to help so many others because you know what that kind of emptiness feels like.
